What type of information is collected from you and where is it stored
Email Mailing List

I collect your name and email when you sign up to my Monthly Newsletter. You can sign up through my Website where you are linked to my Newsletter host Mailchimp before entering your name and email into a sign up form. Your details are held secure within Mailchimp. Please view their privacy policy here https://mailchimp.com/legal/privacy/ . You may sign up on a sign up sheet at an event. I add the details manually into Mailchimp, and I keep this paper record of when you signed up at an event safe in my studio as a record of when you gave me consent. I use your name and email stored in Mailchimp to send you my Newsletter update only. You explicitly give consent to this when signing up through the sign up form whether it is electronic or paper format. On the sign up form the Newsletter content is explained as a monthly update which contains information about upcoming events, exhibitions, new work, collections and product development. I will not use your email for any other reason, or share it with a third party. You can opt out at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the footer of any email you receive from me.
Buying my products through my Folksy shop

Buying on-line through Folksy means that you enter your name, address, email and payment details. When you make this purchase, your card details are not held by me, but my third party payment processors. Please view my Folksy privacy policy here: https://folksy.com/shops/JoannaWakefieldJewellery which as well as my policy for buying through my Folksy shop it includes the details of the third party payment privacy policies too. I keep copies of the digital email receipts or paper receipts given for the purchase of any products. These may contain your name, contact number, address and email. I will not contact you for any other reason other than your order that is being discussed or processed.
Buying direct from me via email and Social Media platforms​

You may email me, whether it is through my website or direct, or contact me through Social Media platforms, Instagram, Twitter & Facebook, to order or discuss a product. Any information that I take will be treated with care and I will not share your details with anybody else.
Note about customer orders and commissions
As a whole regarding customer orders I keep a spreadsheet of sales on my laptop where I enter your name only, what you purchased, the date, the value and how it was paid for, which is secured on my password sensitive laptop.
Third party suppliers

For posting orders I use the Post Office. They will only require a name and address. And print me a proof of posting which I keep safe with my books.
Website
My website is powered by Wix. If you email me through my website or sign up to my Mailing list through my website Wix holds this record in my websites inbox. I will not share your information, name and email with anybody else. How is your information used
The only circumstances in which I will share your data are in processing your order or complying with the law. I will never use or pass on your information to third parties for marketing purposes or any other purpose, other than the circumstances listed below, or add you to my Mailing list without your explicit consent. The circumstances in which I may share your data are:
• With Folksy if you ordered through them to comply with my obligations.
• With delivery companies to fulfil your order.
• To comply with legal or tax obligations.
How long is your data stored for
I will only retain your details for as long as necessary in order to process an order and I will securely store any data collected during that period. I retain personal data related to orders or customer queries for six years. After this time I will delete your data from my records.
Your rights and choices
You have the right to know what personal data I hold about you, and to ask for that data to be changed or deleted. You also have the right to complain to the ICO if you believe there is a problem with the way I handle your data.
Regarding my Newsletter you can withdraw consent at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the footer of any email you receive from me.
